Saturday, April 13th from 12-3 PM
Fancy Banana—2300 SE 7th Ave, Portland, OR 97214
Join us for a special workshop collaboration with Will of Future Dust Pots to learn all about surface decoration and design techniques—and then decorate your own Fancy Banana pipe!
We will provide an overview of various glazing techniques, like using atomizers, underglaze transfers, cricut stencils, and working with special effects glazes…among others! After Will’s demonstrations, you’ll choose a technique to focus on and practice by decorating a bisque-fired pipe provided for you. You’ll walk away from this workshop with a completed Fancy Banana pipe and a whole new set of surface design skills to carry with you into your clay practice!
After the workshop, we will apply a clear glaze and fire your piece for you. Pipes will be available for pick up at Fancy Banana 3 weeks after the workshop.
